Transitional + Farmhouse Style

Our clients just purchased their home in Batavia, Illinois and were looking to update the kitchen right away. They wanted maximum island space, new cabinet color, new countertops and backsplash, and cabinetry modifications that would update the style.

We modified the cabinetry by the pantry and dry bar to allow for floating shelves, which our clients repurposed from some timber in Wisconsin. We refinished the cabinetry in Benjamin Moore Chantilly Lace (perimeter) and Benjamin Moore Ocean Floor (island). We modified the island for a farmhouse style look with square legs and shiplap sides. Added new lighting to the dry bar area and pendants above the island.
